WhatTheyThink Consulting - Aaron Hale

Consulting Home

Aaron Hale has sixteen years experience in various roles within the Graphics Arts and Printing Industry. His entrée began with FedEx Kinkos as an Assistant Manager of Technology assisting Pennsylvania and New Jersey branches with oversight and management of self service computer operations.

As Director of Technology for Aztec in Wilmington, DE he implemented standardization of all technical platforms including workflow automation and GRACOL level ICC color management related to imaging, digital printing, and soft proofing. His expertise included both wide format inkjet and electrophotographic printing technologies. He possesses in-depth working knowledge of Xerox, Encad, Canon, Kyocera Mita, Ricoh, Oce, Epson, HP, and Kodak/NexPress technologies. Highlights included the development of Fine Art Reproduction and Digital Photo output business segments which contributed a 200% growth to Aztec’s bottom line.

As a District Sales Manager for Ilford Imaging, USA Aaron’s expertise with Digital inkjet photo reproduction served him well with a corporate directive to sell to and educate Ilford’s Dealer, Lab, and Direct Photographer network with cutting edge inkjet media, and hard and soft technologies.

At Kodak GCG he was a Solutions Sales Manager for NexPress. This was a natural fit due to Aaron’s intimate knowledge of NexPress technology and a throwback to a previous offer of employment with Heidelberg.

Aaron is currently VP of Digital Communications at Premium Color Graphics, Inc. in Clifton, NJ where he has fulfilled his mandate of transitioning PCG from a traditional Ink on Paper commercial printer into a full service Solutions Provider and MSP (Marketing Services Provider). He has developed and implemented a suite of Digital Communication Solutions that include: Short Run OnDemand digital printing, all levels of VDP, enterprise web-to-print POP, personalized URL (PURL) cross media marketing, and a Digital Photo Production System (DPPS) – a web based digital photo production portal for e-commerce related to digital photo printing products and merchandise.

Aaron holds a Microsoft Professional certification hedged with ICC color management education and extensive consultative/solution sales training provided by FedEx Kinkos, Ilford Imaging USA, and Eastman Kodak.
