GBC will showcase both near-line and off-line binding solutions and shredders at On Demand 2008. The equipment on display in GBC booth # 1467 is designed to fit every on-demand user’s finishing and document protection needs.

Document Finishing

Near-line finishing equipment, set next to the print engine, allows for high-speed, high volume, and streamlined document production. GBC offers include:

• GBC Quantum^Ò P70iX—A digital production punch with punching capabilities up to 60,000 sheets per hour. It is available with 14 different punch patterns.
• AP-2 Ultra—An automatic punch, accommodating various paper stocks and sizes, offering 14 punch patterns and features an average capacity of 40,000 punched sheets per hour.
• DigiCoil automated ColorCoilÒ inserter will demonstrate the ease and speed of “spinning” the popular ColorCoil spine onto punched documents. The DigiCoil can be positioned near-line or off-line to bind books up to 33mm thick using assorted stocks, index tabs and oversized covers--all at speeds up to 450 books an hour.

Featured off-line, equipment is designed for lower volume production environments. These desktop systems offer fast binding and accurate results with a wide range of sheet capacities and operating methods.

• ProClick Pronto® P2000—A bind only product.
• ProClick Pronto P3000—An all-in-one punch and bind unit. Automated desktop finishers use a fully editable ProClick® spine. Users can manually edit documents quickly without a machine. 
• CC2700, PB2600 and TL2900. Each is specific to the style of binding the user requires.
• CC2700—An electric dual-roller system that inserts ColorCoil spines with ease and accuracy. Binding capacity is up to 1” thick or 265 sheets at a time. It also includes an easy-to-use crimper hand tool.
• PB2600—An electric high capacity CombBindÒ finisher that can bind up to 300 presentations an hour in three quick steps. Its binding capacity is up to 2” thick or 425 sheets.
• TL2900—An electric, high-volume finisher for wire binding. A dual load and crimp station eliminates the extra step of moving documents. With a maximum binding length of 12” and capacity up to 250 sheets per load, the user can finish quickly and move to another job in the shop.

Commercial Laminating Solutions

• 620os—A semi-automatic feeding system and integrated separator, the GBC 620os one-sided tabletop finishing solution is ideal for short runs from color printers and offset presses.
• 5031TS—An in-line feeder and cutter, the GBC 5031TS makes two-sided lamination safe and easy for commercial printing and in-house production shops. With a unique dual heating system, the 5031TS enables the strongest possible adhesion of commercial films including GBC Nap-Lam® I, Nap-Lam® II and Hi-Tac Polyester.
• Titan 1244—The Titan Series makes high quality lamination easy, cost-effective, and safe. Graphics can be laminated and mounted up to 43" wide. Run either pressure-sensitive or thermal films for professionally finished window signs, trade show graphics, posters, banners and more.
• Catena 65—Designed to finish full-color digital output, this moderate-production device encapsulates and mounts prints from color printers and copiers while running thermal or pressure-sensitive films.
• ProTrim 63—Specially designed to meet the demands of the digital imaging and finishing markets. Prints and laminated materials up to 20 mil thick can be trimmed in one continuous motio.
• Delta—Ideal for one-sided finishing in publishing, printing and copy shop environments. Operator-controlled from one side, this automated system with a built-in feeder and separator laminates large jobs quickly and efficiently at speeds up to 65 ft./min.
• Digital Lay-Flat® Film—negates the effects of page curl due to humidity and ensures that output stays flat. It provides superior adhesion to electro-photographic prints. The special digital adhesive enables lamination immediately after printing.
• Scuff-Free™ Matte—Film that’s engineered to protect and enhance the look of book covers, packaging and other printed materials. Its unique lustrous finish will not scuff during production or in shipping and handling.

Shredders
