Electronics For Imaging - Booth #5027 & 5030

Electronics For Imaging (EFI) will feature an exciting range of industry-leading technologies and services designed to make every step of the printing process more streamlined and cost-efficient at Graph Expo 2003. The company's show line up will include the debut of the new, high-powered Fiery¨ S300 and S500 color servers with the latest version of the award-winning Fiery System software. The Fiery S300 is optimized for production of continuous tone color pages on a variety of mid-range color copiers. The Fiery S500 is ideal for printing complex variable data and imposed pages at top engine rated speeds.

- The Fiery Q4500 , EFI's new breed of high performance servers for the production printing market, will also be widely available for a number of new high-end engines. Available on each server is Fiery System 5.5 software, which delivers several new productivity-enhancing job processing and color management features to graphics arts professionals.

- EFI's Velocity™ line of workflow software, which enables print centers to reach higher efficiency and cost savings through a robust, complete digital workflow, has recently expanded with the introduction of Velocity Exchange(tm). The online workflow application that connects customers with print providers will be shown with new capabilities for more efficient, automated print job ordering.

- EFI will also introduce new features to its PDF-based prepress workflow system, Velocity OneFlow(tm), which addresses DI, CTP, ink jet and digital printing needs under one workflow. The latest version of Velocity Balance(tm) for distributed printing among multiple printers, rounds out EFI's complete workflow system from job submission through prepress to production.

- Additionally, the new Best Screenproof 4up for the CTP market will be on display (EFI acquired Best in early 2003). Best Screenproof 4up is designed for users who have ink jet printers up to 24 inches wide taking advantage of ink jet technology to produce color-accurate original screen proofs based on ICC profiles. Also on display will be the latest versions of EFI's Best Colorproof, Screenproof and Designer.

- Electronics For Imaging (EFI) together with partner Printcafe will demonstrate its commitment to the print standard JDF (job definition format) by showcasing a complete JDF-enabled EFI workflow system at Graph Expo 2003. EFI's innovative and interoperable line of Velocity(tm) workflow software, Best(tm) proofing solutions, Fiery¨ technology and Printcafe's Hagen OA¨ software will connect via JDF, showing how every step of the printing process can be more streamlined and cost-efficient from job submission, to prepress and proofing, to production printing.

Elixir - Booth #1016

Elixir Technologies will be in the Xerox booth # 1016 printing personalized MICR Sample Kits for Xerox's DocuPrint 75MX MICR printer. The application was created in Vitesse, Elixir's new VIPP designer which fully supports Xerox's VIPP workflow. VIPP Project Containers (VPCs) are easily created and maintained ensuring that all required resources are automatically installed in the correct printer controller directories.  Existing VIPP forms and segments can be used in Vitesse.

- Advanced features offered only by Vitessse enable the opening and editing of existing VIPP applications. For users who want to view the source code, a code view is also provided. Any edits made in the code are immediately visible in the design. VIPP source code can be viewed, edited and compiled using Vitesse.
