ECRM — Booth #5218
About ECRM
ECRM Imaging Systems is a global leader in imaging technologies for the graphic communications industry. For over three decades ECRM has successfully applied a broad range of optical, imaging, laser, and digital-electronic technologies to meet the business needs of its customers. The Massachusetts-based company has sold and supported more than 5,000 computer-to-plate devices and over 27,000 imagesetters in more than 87 countries around the world. ECRM's Tewksbury, MA facility is ISO 9001:2000 certified and is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in research and development, design, manufacturing, service, and support.
WORKMATES, A PDF-BASED WORKFLOW SOLUTION — Four Standard WorkMates Modules. Not all printers work the same way. To this end, ECRM is introducing WorkMates, a PDF based workflow solution for small to midsize commercial printers. This platform allows production managers to add modules that complement their production workflow as needed. ECRM‚s WorkMates is a collection of software modules that will help printers automate tasks, increase productivity, and reduce costs by only implementing the tools they need, when they need them.
ImposeMate is an automated imposition tool. It's explicitly designed for the small-print service provider, printing on small-format conventional presses, or on digital production presses. Page setup controls automate in-RIP imposition rules applied to all jobs. If the print service provider prints similar jobs consistently, one imposition setup, used as a part of one or more page setups, can be used time and time again. Rather than needing to spend time on manually placing every page, the operator need now only submit the job to a RIP with the correct imposition setup and it‚s processed automatically.
TrapMate is a layered option for trapping in the ECRM RIP. Object trapping requires considerably fewer calculations than raster trapping, and is therefore considerably faster. Object trapping also offers improved quality and accuracy of the trap shape. TrapMate is an object-based trapping system that allows the trapping engine to trap everything the RIP renders, with pixel accuracy, and with great speed. TrapMate also offers an easy to use GUI, automated trapping, a built-in ROAM preview feature, and an in-RIP monitor window.
ProofMate provides commercial printers with a link to proofing tools they need to deliver "out of the box" color quality to their customers. Today, with the availability of low-cost, high-quality inkjet proofing devices, quality proofs are expected. ProofMate enables print production professionals to produce cost-effective proofs that match the press.
PrintMate is an intuitive, easy to use interface that simplifies the management of a print job from the moment the file is submitted (via a print driver or a hot folder) to its progress through the RIP and on to the output device. This product allows the user to have remote job control along with an easy to use GUI, improving efficiency and increasing profitability. This web-based solution will complement all ECRM CTP devices and the latest version of the ECRM RIP. For more information: www.ecrm.com.
