Hatch Comments on Print Council Piece

December 5, 2005 -- As former head of a graphic arts association I offer the following to your recent editorial regarding the Print Council.

You said it most succenctly when you stated the Print Council needs to pick up the pace. And Gina Testa's comment told why this is not being done. Because it is a volunteer organization this is not being done.

Other than a well written book, a coupla of p.r. pieces in trade publications and a nice modestly manned booth at trade shows I doubt the Print Council will go any further than a number of predecessors.

What is needed is a full time well compensated leader together with a well funded staff. Only dedicated paid people can do that is needed.

Thank You,
Henry (Hank) Hatch
