Postal Legislation News Misleading

February 16 , 2006 -- Your news item on postal legislation is misleading and not helpful. The likelihood of USPS getting any money is exceedingly low. The legislation gives no wherewithal to do better than they are can do now, but it certainly creates the potential for substantial burdens. It is designed to put them out of competitive markets, even those they have been in for 100 years. The cap is not a cap because they must get the money they need and it does not address labor. The worksharing language in the bill is potentially troublesome. A number of regulatory experts have testified that it will not work. Read it and think about it!

Thank You,
