The presentation is entitled: "Graphic Arts 2017: A Speculative Look at the Graphic Arts a Decade from Today," and will offer printing and publishing executives a strategic look into the future from one of the industry's best-known consultants, forecasters, and commentators. In addition, Dr. Webb will examine key future demographic and technological trends that will create the graphic arts and content creation business of 2017. Dr. Webb will discuss projections of how many printers, workers, designers, and publishers there will be 10 years from now, as well as what communications needs will come into view, grow, or decline. The event will explore what technologies will enable change or be barriers to the industry, what job opportunities will emerge, and how to get your business and career ready for 2017 as well.
"The WhatTheyThink event will provide attendees an excellent and rare opportunity to look into the future," said Randy Davidson, president of WhatTheyThink. "We want to recognize MAN Roland's generosity as the exclusive sponsor of this event, allowing WhatTheyThink to make it free to all attendees for the fifth year in a row."
Dr. Joe Webb is the director of WhatTheyThink.com's Economics and Research Center. A 30-year veteran of the graphic arts industries, he was the founder of the influential TrendWatch information service, which was sold to Reed Elsevier in 2000. Since January 2003, his "Mondays with Dr. Joe" column has become a must-read feature on WhatTheyThink.com, as have his quarterly economic forecast webinars, where he analyzes trends in the economy, technology, and the industry, interpreting what they mean for executives and their strategic decisions.
