This one-hour event will provide graphic arts, printing and publishing executives with an analysis of the current economic climate, an overview of what to expect relative to market conditions in 2008, and newly-updated economic models through the year 2010.
“We are also very excited to include results from the first-ever WhatTheyThink survey of our readers and subscribers during this session,” said Randy Davidson, President, WhatTheyThink. “We asked our readers to weigh in about business conditions, business outlook and their plans for the future. Attendees will find Dr. Webb’s analysis of these results to be helpful as they think about their own businesses.”
Hundreds of printing executives regularly attend these quarterly events and access the archived material for later review. Once again, Dr. Webb will dissect economic data from his often contrarian perspective, examine opportunities, and provide a clear understanding by which to navigate.
“As printing owners and managers plan for 2008, it will be more important than ever before to take the chaotic economic climate into consideration,” said Dr. Webb. “We will provide invaluable insight and guidance that will not only assist in planning for 2008, but will provide a longer term view through 2010. Our updated forecast is likely to offer a few surprises. In my view, businesses must be prepared with strong, alternative plans.”
Dr. Webb also points out that many industry suppliers and large printers already have 2008 budgets in place. “The economic assumptions used just weeks and months ago are already being called into question,” he says, “and those companies should be prepared to revise them as conditions continue to shift. I will discuss alternative business scenarios that should be considered.”
Topics to be addressed will include:
- Review and analysis of WhatTheyThink’s reader/subscriber survey
- Sorting through the subprime saga, exchange rates, inflation, a hyperactive Fed, and more
- Updated forecasts for 2008 and 2009, and our first look at 2010
- …and Dr Joe's Winter Reading List—perfect for keeping your mind occupied as you curl up before the blazing Yule log
“We appreciate Presstek’s generosity in sponsoring this webinar so that we can bring it to our readers at no charge,” added Davidson. “This promises to be a blockbuster session and will be available in the archive, along with all of our other educational sessions, so that business owners and managers can revisit the content as they refine their 2008 plans.”
