New InfoTrends Research on Web-to-Print Presented in WhatTheyThink Webinar, Sponsored by Press-sense
Session Highlights
How Buyers and Sellers of Print Can Be More Efficient, Innovative
March 3, 2008 -- Lexington, Kentucky USA --
WhatTheyThink.com presented a free printing industry educational webinar. “e” Enabling Business Means
“e”verything, led by industry expert
Barbara A. Pellow, Director of the Business Development and Custom
Communications Services for research firm InfoTrends. The session was sponsored by Press-sense.
The session archive can be located at this special web page:

“Pellow and her panel of experts
presented a clear argument about the advantages of e-enabling the print buying
process,” said Randy Davidson, President, WhatTheyThink. “Both printers and buyers of print can
benefit from reviewing the session archive, especially if they are looking for
a new web-based solution or planning to update an older one.”
Pellow has proven to be one of WhatTheyThink’s most popular
webinar hosts, with hundreds of printing executives regularly attending her
WhatTheyThink webinars and accessing the archived material for later review.
She was joined by experienced graphic communications services providers who
shared their opinions and expertise, including:
- Dave
Huewe, from Spokane-based Advantage Printing in Washington State. Founded
15 years ago, this innovative printer initially specialized in laminated
business cards and now offers laminated photo business cards, UV-coated
business cards delivered the next business day, postcards, stationery,
envelopes and even custom playing cards.
- Gary
Preuss, President, PressGo, Inc., of Santa Ana, California. PressGo Inc.
is a graphic consulting service that provides innovative technology to
reduce cost, increase sales, market share and productivity while reducing
waste.
“Our research reflects that less than 5% of print service
providers were Internet-enabled in 2000. Today, nearly half offer web-to-print services and another third
intended to offer them within the next 24 months,” said Pellow. “This is an amazing growth rate in a
very short period of time, and listening to our panel of experts gave
significant insight into whey we have seen that growth. E-enablement is not the
wave of the future for the graphic communications industry. It is here today and will only continue
to increase in power and robustness.”
“We are pleased that Press-sense sponsored this program,”
added Davidson. “Their generosity
allowed us to present this important content free of charge.”
