HP and WhatTheyThink Share Strategies for Success with Inkjet in Upcoming Free Webinar

Following the “inkjet drupa,” opportunities abound

July 2nd, 2008 -- Lexington, Kentucky USA -- WhatTheyThink.com today announced the opportunity for industry professionals to attend a free printing industry educational webinar. The Next Killer App: Are You Getting the Most Out of Inkjet?, which will be led by industry expert Barbara A. Pellow, Group Director of Production Services for research firm InfoTrends.  Sponsored by the HP Capture Business Success Program, the event will be held Wednesday, July 9th, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm EDT (-4 GMT).

No-charge registration is available here.

“There were many exciting inkjet announcements at drupa,” said Pellow.  “Now is the perfect time for print service providers to take a new look at the opportunities this technology provides for business expansion. In particular, the wide format inkjet continues to be an important value-added service as print service providers continue the migration to marketing services providers in this increasingly dynamic and competitive marketplace.”

Pellow will be joined by Tim Greene, the Director of InfoTrends' Wide Format Printing and Jetting Technology Opportunities Consulting Services, who will report on market size and critical trends.  David Pitts, co-owner of Classic Graphics, will share the user perspective.  Located in Charlotte and Durham, NC, Classic Graphics occupies about 130,000 square feet in 3 facilities with a staff of 160.  The company’s 2007 sales were $33 million.

“As we come out of what has been dubbed as the ‘inkjet drupa’,” said Randy Davidson, President, WhatTheyThink, “it is more important than ever before to stay in touch with inkjet developments.  This session provides just such an opportunity.  We appreciate the fact that HP’s Capture Business Success Program is sponsoring this important session, allowing us to make it available at no charge.”

Attendees will be able to participate in a live question and answer session to get the most from the experience and will be able to view and listen to the presentation using a standard Internet browser with audio streamed via computer.
