Dr. Joe Webb to Share First Look at 2009 Economic Conditions, Sponsored by MindFireInc

September 11, 2008 -- Lexington, Kentucky USA -- WhatTheyThink.com today announced the opportunity for industry professionals to attend a free printing industry economic webinar with forecaster and commentator Dr. Joe Webb. The event will be held Wednesday, September 24th, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm EDT (-4 GMT).

No-charge registration is available here.

This one-hour event will provide graphic arts, printing and publishing executives with an analysis of the current economic climate and a discussion of what these turbulent times mean for individual printers and the printing industry as a whole. It will also offer the first look at what to expect in 2009. Listeners are also able to send questions for the webinar’s Q&A session. Advance questions can be submitted by visiting WhatTheyThink’s Economics & Research Center and selecting “Ask Dr. Joe.”

“With all of the conflicting economic reports we hear daily in the news, Dr. Webb’s no-nonsense look at what to expect in 2009 is especially needed,” said Randy Davidson, President, WhatTheyThink. “He will also highlight technology trends to watch in 2009 and 2010.  This will be an important session that managers should definitely put on their calendars.”

“Companies should already be actively planning for 2009,” said Dr. Webb.  “Our forecasts and insight into what to expect next year will add value to that planning process.”

Topics to be addressed will include:

  • The latest economy fun & games going into the election, and the first look at 2009's economy
  • The print economy as the industry prepares for Graph Expo
  • The latest survey of print businesses and their planned end-of-year actions
  • Technology trends to watch for in 2009 and 2010
  • Fall into Fall with Dr. Joe’s reading list

“We appreciate MindFireInc’s ongoing commitment to sponsoring our economic outlook webinars, enabling us to bring them to our readers at no charge,” added Davidson. “This session will be available in the archive, along with all of our other educational sessions, so that business owners and managers can revisit the content as they plan for 2009 and beyond.”
