Financial and Business Advice on How to Protect your Company’s Worth the Topic of Upcoming WhatTheyThink Webinar

Compass Capital’s Peter Schaefer will share his expertise

November 19, 2008 -- Lexington, Kentucky USA -- WhatTheyThink.com today announced the opportunity for industry professionals to attend a free printing industry educational webinar. Building Value: Protecting Your Company’s Worth in Troubled Times, which will be moderated by WhatTheyThink Senior Editor Cary Sherburne.  Sponsored by Compass Capital Partners, the event will be held Wednesday, December 3rd, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm EST (-5 GMT). Sherburne will be joined by Peter Schaefer of Compass Capital Partners, one of the leading merger & acquisition firms serving the printing industry.

No-charge registration is available by here.

“Smart business people find opportunities to grow their businesses during difficult economic times rather than sitting on the sidelines waiting it out,” said Sherburne.  “This session will provide timely advice and guidance on how you can steer your firm through these troubled waters.  We are pleased that Compass Capital Partners have agreed to share their expertise with our readers.”

Peter Schaefer is President, COO and Partner, Compass Capital Partners.  Peter joined Compass Capital Partners in 1993 and is an experienced dealmaker with twenty years of investment banking and valuation experience.  He has handled transactions in virtually every segment of the industry, representing sellers as well as buyers.  In addition, Peter performs numerous printing valuations each year and is a Candidate Member of the American Society of Appraisers.  He received a BS in Economics and Political Science from Trinity College and an MBA from Villanova University.  Peter is a Member of NAPL’s Soderstrom Society.

“During this session, we will discuss how you can improve the value of your company, even in tough economic times” said Schaefer.  “We will also discuss characteristics of the super-profitable printers that we have observed as we have worked with hundreds of printing companies, as well as the differences between no profit, low profit and super-profitable companies in our industry.”

“This session is very timely as we plan for 2009,” said Randy Davidson, President, WhatTheyThink. “The valuable information these industry experts will be presenting will help businesses of all sizes as they struggle with the financial uncertainties of this period and position themselves for strength when the economy returns.  We appreciate the fact that Compass Capital Partners is sponsoring this important session, allowing us to make it available at no charge.”

Attendees will also be able to participate in a live question and answer session to get the most from the experience and will be able to view and listen to the presentation using a standard Internet browser with audio streamed via computer.
