Is Xplor the number one show for Exstream?

Absolutely - the target audience benefits most from our technology, which helps them get higher quality, fully personalized customer documents to market much faster than they are currently able to do. We anticipate very qualified professionals looking to save time and money.

What is Dialogue?

Dialogue combines personlaized document creation, campaign management and tracking, content management and multi-channel delivery in one very easy-to-use tool. Dialogue's robustness lets companies maximize communication with customers at all touch points - whether thats high-volume printed documents or on-demand documents delivered in real-time both on paper and online.

Only with Dialogue can you design an application once and not have to change it later to accommodate different output formats. It automatically converts fonts and overlays for high quality document presentation both on paper and online. Dialogue generates AFP, Metacode, PCL, VPS, PPML and PostScript for printed output and PDF, RTF, and XML for electronic presentation.

How are the modules broken out?

Customers buy modules based on their needs. The modules are organized into design and production environments. They can be purchased in groups, or separately as add-ons. We actually provide all the modules at once-they just don't work unless you've contracted for them. When you buy additional modules we supply an access code to turn them "on," so no additional installation is needed.

Give us an example of cost savings by using Dialogue.

Merrill Lynch asked us to help them get their redesigned 401k statements into production. They had worked for 18 months with their service bureau to try to get these documents out. Processing time related to all the variable data with each document was extremely long. Some of their statements were 80 pages long. (401k reports for huge companies detailing all transactions and performance.) We completed a proof of concept for them in 7 days. Once we landed the deal, we worked with them to get the new statements into production - the project took just 4 1/2 months.

Service bureaus and other industries that deal in high-volume customer documents also save tremendous time by using our software. Applied Printing had jobs that used to rip for 60 hours - Dialogue cut down processing to 5 minutes.

Tell us about your sales results this year and your expectations for 2002.

We've already doubled our sales from last year, and expect to more than double revenue again next year. Customers realize a very fast ROI using Dialogue - we can't get the success stories out fast enough.

What plans do you have for this year's show?

There are a number of conference sessions that Exstream and/or our customers will be participating in during the show. We will present a vendor tutorial on Tuesday, October 30 in Room 311C/D and will serve on three panels of Doculabs University. Panel topics will cover "Customer Relationship Management," "Output Management," and "Document Creation." In addition, five of our customers will serve as speakers during conference sessions, including Certegy (formerly Equifax Card Solutions), Applied Printing Technologies, Doculink International, Xerox and Merrill Lynch. Topics for these sessions include: "Personalization: It's More than a Tactic" (Monday, October 29, Room 310 A/B); "Enhancing Print-Based CRM" (Wednesday, October 31, Room TBD); "CRM Opportunities in Digital-Based Printing" (Wednesday, October 31; Room 315A); and "1:1 Documents" (Thursday, November 1, Room 315B).
