Michael B. Saldi has spent his 17-year professional career in the data collection and data reporting industries. He has held engineering, marketing, and sales positions with industry leaders such as NCR, Fujitsu/ICL, and Symbol Technologies. SC Logic was founded in 1996 in anticipation of the boom in item tracking applications made possible by new portable data collection devices.
Driven from the Presidential seat, SC Logics 30-person team develops and markets all application solutions from the end-users perspective. SC Logic's blue collar computing focus makes its applications reliable and easy to use at the front end, which means better quality data at the back-end. This focus on the user differentiates the company from all other IT-focused developers in our market space.
Michael B. Saldi has a degree in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University, and resides with his family in Annapolis, Maryland.

Our technology exists to help them automate mail delivery within their facility.
Tell us about SCL Intra iBox and SCL Intra eNterprise.
Our flagship product, SCL Intra, provides dock to desktop accountability for all items that might move through a company campus. Our portable computers collect electronic signatures upon delivery of all packages, providing the ultimate in accountability for internal deliveries. We can be of particular help in the automation of new, and often labor intensive, security procedures being added to mailroom workflows. We provide accountability, security, and productivity improvements all while helping the mailroom answer the question "Wheres my package?"
SC Logic provides on-site training by our own Systems Analysts, a fully staffed technical support phone line, 24-hour access to FAQs online, and "Hot Spare Loaners" for portable hardware.
What advantages do these products have over your competitors?
SC Logic was first to market with a mailroom solution utilizing portable Palm devices and has the highest installation base. We believe our current product is a full generation ahead of our closest competitor. We have full intranet browser support, meaning the operations-minded like us for ease of deployment, but the IT staff that will have to support the application love us. We are at least a full generation ahead of our nearest competitor, and they havent even seen what we have coming!
Tell us about the advantages of owning the production of your product.
SC Logic makes what we sell. We write the engine, the browser applications, and the portable applications. We perform our own deployment services, man our technical support lines, and train customers using our own Systems Analysts. We provide the hardware, assemble it, and offer our own advance exchange program on the handheld devices. If you have a question or problem, SC Logic stands alone in our ability to provide a single point of contact to address it.
Finally, we would like to know about your sales projections for this year.
2001 has been far slower than we projected this time last year, but our software sales are still up 65% over last year. We are projecting a far smaller 20% growth for 2002, but hope to be upwardly surprised.
