Speaker's Bureau - Margie Dana

Speakers Bureau Home

Margie Dana is a former print buyer who turned her passion for printing into a print consulting business. She writes her popular e-column, Margie’s Print Tips, to build bridges between the printing industry and its customers. Today this weekly email is read worldwide by thousands of subscribers in 25 countries. Margie's Print Tips has been the staple of print professionals worldwide since 1999.

For several years, Margie's been a sought-after speaker at industry events that target printers and/or print customers. Her presentations are inspiring, passionate, and interactive, and she strives to leave her audiences with valuable insights they can put to good use immediately.

In recent years, Margie has presented in Auckland, NZ, for Print New Zealand; twice for Print Yorkshire in the UK; twice for PINC in San Francisco, CA; in Wisconsin for NAPL with Frank Romano; and regularly throughout New England. She will be chairing the new print buyer track for the 2007 Graph Expo in September.

Margie is the founder of Print Buyers International, LLC, an international organization that's dedicated to serving buyers worldwide through online education and event production. She also founded Boston Print Buyers, a Division of Print Buyers International. It is a professional group that brings networking and educational opportunities to New England professionals who purchase or influence the purchase of printing. She produced her first annual print buyer conference in 2006; the next one is scheduled for November 2007 in Westford, MA.

In addition to authoring dozens of articles about the business of printing, Margie has published her first book. "Put It on Paper! Every Person's Guide to the Printing Industry," is available via www.bostonprintbuyers.com in both hard copy and as an e-book. It is an edited compilation of 60 of her Print Tips and is ideal for those new to the printing industry.

In 2006, American Printer launched Print & Media Buyer, the first-ever U.S. magazine for professionals who buy printing. Margie is the Senior Contributing Editor of this quarterly publication
